This Policy explains the storage and access technologies used on the public tidy-book.com marketing site. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. Similar technologies include pixels, tags, local storage, identifiers and device signals. They can remember choices or measure visits and interactions.
2. Controller and contact
The controller for cookie choices on tidy-book.com is Tidy-Book. For questions or rights requests, contact [email protected]. Further controller information and processing roles are described in the Privacy Policy.
3. Legal basis and defaults
Storage of your choice and strictly necessary security mechanisms support functionality you request under the exception in Article 4(5) of Greek Law 3471/2006. Optional Google Ads and Meta Pixel technologies are off by default and activate only after freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous consent under Article 4(5) of Greek Law 3471/2006 and Articles 6(1)(a) and 7 GDPR. Refusal does not restrict access to or use of the site.
4. Necessary technologies
| Name/service | Purpose | Provider | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
tidy_cookie_consent | Stores only the version and yes/no choices for Google Ads and Meta Pixel so that we can respect your decision. | Tidy-Book, first party | 180 days |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Protects the demo form from abuse. It generates a short-lived single-use token and processes technical browser signals. A cf_clearance cookie is created only if pre-clearance is separately enabled in the Turnstile configuration. | Cloudflare | Token up to 5 minutes; any clearance follows the configured security duration |
Necessary technologies are not used for advertising measurement. Turnstile loads when you approach or use the demo form, and our server verifies its token.
5. Google Ads — optional
Purpose: measuring page views, ad clicks and conversions such as demo submissions or selected contact clicks, and supporting advertising personalisation. Data: IP address, browser/device type, page URL and referrer, time, interaction event, ad-click identifiers and cookies/identifiers where permitted.
Possible first-party cookies include _gcl_au and names beginning with _gcl_ or _gac_. Duration is determined by Google Ads and the campaign, commonly up to 90 days for conversion identifiers. Cookies on Google domains may also be used under Google's policies.
Provider/recipient: Google Ireland Limited and, depending on the service, other Google companies. Google Privacy Policy · How Google uses cookies in advertising.
6. Meta Pixel — optional
Purpose: measuring page views and ad performance, attributing conversions, creating audiences and supporting personalised advertising. Data: IP address, browser/device type, page URL and referrer, time, interaction events and cookies/identifiers. The website code does not explicitly pass demo-form fields to Meta. The advertising-cookie choice covers the data above and is not consent to send demo-form fields through automatic advanced matching or other automated matching.
Possible first-party cookies include _fbp (browser identification) and _fbc (ad-click information), commonly for up to 90 days. Meta may associate data with a Facebook or Instagram account under its settings and policies.
Provider/recipient: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. Where applicable, Tidy-Book and Meta act as joint controllers only for collection and transmission through the Pixel; Meta is responsible for its subsequent processing. Meta Privacy Policy · Meta Cookies Policy.
The essence of the joint arrangement is that we ensure lawful integration, prior consent and this information for collection/transmission; Meta undertakes its own security and data-handling obligations for the data it receives. You may exercise rights against either joint Controller; we forward relevant requests to Meta where needed. See the Meta Controller Addendum (GDPR article 26(2)–(3)).
7. Transfers outside the EEA
Google, Meta and Cloudflare may process data outside the European Economic Area. They state that they use available legal transfer mechanisms, such as adequacy decisions and Standard Contractual Clauses, where required. Their respective policies provide further information.
8. Choice, withdrawal and deletion
The banner's first layer lets you accept or reject all optional technologies with one click. “Settings” lets you choose Google and Meta separately. We keep your choice for 180 days and then ask again.
You can select “Cookie settings” in the footer or use the button below at any time. On withdrawal, future loading of that provider stops and accessible first-party vendor cookies are removed from tidy-book.com. Withdrawal does not erase data lawfully processed before it; use the Privacy Policy contact details for related requests.
9. Browser controls and Do Not Track
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Do Not Track does not have a uniform legal or technical implementation; independently of it, our optional technologies remain off until you consent.
10. Changes and contact
If purposes, providers or optional technologies change, we will update this Policy and request fresh consent where required. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
Continued use of the site or acceptance of the Terms of Service does not constitute consent to optional cookies. Policy updates do not replace the separate consent mechanism; any fresh consent required by changes is requested before the affected optional technologies are enabled.
